WHY ARE BLACK WOMEN SO FAT?

THE FACTS:

Of course, it's not just Black women but the clear majority of adults
in the United States are either overweight or obese. With regard to obesity,
more than one-third of adults, or over 72 million people,
were obese in 2005–2006. In 2005-2006:

53% of non-Hispanic black women 40–59 years of age are obese.

51% of Mexican-American women 40–59 years of age are obese.

39% of non-Hispanic White women 40–59 years of age are obese.

More than one-third of U.S. adults were obese in 2005–2006,
which includes 33.3% of men and 35.3% of women

But obesity is getting worse. Much worse.

At CTI22, we want to know your opinions on obesity, which you can do by
completing our online survey which we'll launch in June 2012.
Additionally, throughout July 2012 through August 2012 CTI22 will be filming "live"
on camera, person-to-person interviews throughout metro Omaha. Join us!
